COVID-19 and College Students' Sexual Behaviors

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on everyone’s lives, but research on these topics has just begun to scratch the surface. One area that requires more attention is whether sexual behaviors have been impacted by the pandemic and if they have, in what way. This project looks to see if there are differences in sexual behaviors before the pandemic and during it among full-time Truman students who are 18 years old or older. The survey was distributed to the entire population and the data from this survey was analyzed using SPSS to determine any significant findings, and these results were shared via posters around campus and TikTok videos. Universities could use this information to help promote the continuation of safe sexual behaviors during the pandemic, and to determine what resources they could provide to students to encourage these safe practices in the future.
