Stinky Tree Sweat: Could it be Killing us?

Caleb H. DeWitt* and Emma Diest
Dr. Tim Humphry, Faculty Mentor

Organic sulfate esters, specifically those derived from isoprene, are very prevalent aerosolized pollutants that have been detected in the atmosphere. Though these are very prevalent pollutants, there is very little known about their properties. Potassium Glycolaldehyde Sulfate is synthesized to further study its chemical properties.
