Montana L. Carlson
Dr. Hena Ahmad, Faculty Mentor

This paper is an exploration of the familial relationships in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, comparing and contrasting the behaviors of the Bingleys and the Bennets through an investigation of how social class and income act as catalysts in creating discourse within the environment. It will also dive into the connections between the siblings within the two separate units, noting the importance that both affection and rivalry play as tools to progress the novel.
