My proposed research is on immigration, adoption, and assimilation patterns of Asian-Americans in modern society. My research goals are to compile an accurate average of Asian immigrants to the United States each year, to compile an accurate average of Asian adoptees in the United States each year, to develop a fuller understanding of the process of assimilation to American culture, and to develop a fuller understand of how the process of assimilation affects Asian-Americans in the classroom, workplace, and daily life.
