The Media's Response to the 2014 Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

On July 12, 2014, three Israeli teenagers were kidnapped while hitchhiking in the West Bank. The world watched and held its breath as it waited to see what happened, informed of the unfolding events by the news media's reports. However, the media are not always accurate or impartial in their dealing with major issues, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a prime example of this. Through the analysis of the Israeli, Palestinian, and American news media's response to the emerging conflict, we can better establish how the media both help and hinder the public's understanding of major conflicts.
