Exoplanet Detection and Analysis by the Transit Method

We present light curve analyses of the exoplanets Corot2b, WASP12, and Hat P3. The orbits of these exoplanets around their parent stars are along our line of sight which results in a decrease of the stars brightness during transit. We targeted these systems over several nights using the ST8300 SBIG CDD camera attached to the Truman State Observatory telescope. We then perform photometry on these data and plot light curves for each system. From these light curves, we calculate various properties of these systems such as the distance between the exoplanet and its star and the radius of the exoplanet.
