Dr. Paula Cochran, Faculty Mentor
The purpose of this project was to determine the effect of an integrated phonological and articulation approach for a preschool child with a mild speech sound disorder. A single subject multiple-baseline design across phonemes was implemented. During the treatment phase, an integrated phonological and articulation approach was used to treat the clients speech sound errors. Treatment sessions included both drawing the clients attention to phonemic contrasts as well as emphasizing articulation placement. Results and implications of the study will be discussed.
