A Statistical Analysis of Human Papillomavirus Knowledge among College Students

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection, especially among females within the ages of twenty to twenty four years old or college aged students. In addition to the highest age group for HPV infection, college age students are also within the high sexual risk behavior group. HPV is growing at vast rates and in many infected cases he/she is asymptomatic. As a result of the significant rises of new cases, I decided to administer a questionnaire that asks factual questions based off information from the CDC website related to HPV facts. The questionnaires will be administered to students within entry level college courses. The results of these questionnaires will be used to determine if there are adequate education programs about HPV prevention available to students at Truman State University. The questionnaires will be administered at a later time.
