Description: Monthly, a health education lesson was taught to youth on probation. These non-traditional lessons are related to real-world needs as noted by their probation officers. Lessons included: Cyber safety, Violence prevention, Healthy sexuality, Health career exploration, Job interviewing skills, Coping skills, and Media savvy. Objectives: Monthly, a health lesson will be presented that relates to real-world needs of youth on probation. At the completion of the lesson, each youth will state one fact learned through an oral quiz. Discussion: Concluding each lesson, students were asked what they had learned and how it applied in their lives. All participants replied each time. Implications and Conclusions: Health Educators need to create lessons and programs based on the target population. Gammans will continue to work with probation officers to assess needs and create lessons to meet needs. Active learning will be continued to keep interest of the participants and reinforce information.
