Les Systèmes de Santé Français et Américains

Molly E. Laiben
Dr. Erin Joyce, Faculty Mentor

In 2021, the average American spent $14,570 annually on their healthcare, while the average French person spent $299. A private healthcare system, like the one that exists in the US, is more expensive per person than a public system like the one that exists in France. Yet, the US government continually contributes more of its GDP to healtcare than the French government. This presentation, which will be given in French, addresses this issue, discussing the differences (and surprising similarities) between the French and American healthcare systems, and what effects they have on the people living under them and government spending.
