Suminagashi gecko

Anna Pavan
Dr. Heidi Cook, Faculty Mentor

Suminagashi, or "floating ink", is a technique used to marble paper with ink, which creates fluent patterns reminiscent of the movement of a reptile. The star of this work, like it could be expected, is not a snake, but a less intimidating gecko, animal which I wanted to bring under the spotlight.
