The Synthesis and Characterization of Glycoaldehyde Sulfate

John D. Kilian
Dr. Tim Humphry and Dr. Amy Fuller, Faculty Mentors

Glycoaldehyde sulfate is an atmospheric sulfate ester that may contribute to global cooling. As an aerosol, glycoaldehyde sulfate may act as an agent for primary or secondary radiative forcing. The synthesis and characterization of glycoaldehyde sulfate has been attempted.
