Dr. Scott Alberts, Faculty Mentor
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of student-initiated courses and whether they adhere to the requirements of Transformative Learning Experiences mandated by Truman State University. Experiences from past student preceptors as well as participants in the courses were compiled through an analysis of past course evaluations. Additional data will be collected through a focus group of past student preceptors and faculty mentors, and the compiled data will be used as an evaluation tool for comparing the SIC program to current accepted Transformative Learning Experiences.
