Large Scale Sculptural Installation
Lona D. Moody*, Alexandra Williamson, Jonathan Moeller, and Justin Sevier
Prof. John Bohac , Faculty Mentor
Over the past year, the students of Advanced Sculpture have been working toward creating a large-scale sculptural installation of an Egyptian Anubis Guardian. The sculpture has a hollow wooden interior and is covered with a carved foam skin, standing roughly twenty-five feet high. Our purpose in building this massive structure was to collaborate with one another as artists through the process and to explore interdisciplinary fields, including art, history, engineering, and many others, setting out to skillfully construct something impactful for our campus.
