Data Acquisition Automation for a Diffraction Grating Experiment
Eric C. Laugeman
Dr. Michael Goggin, Faculty Mentor
In an experiment to study the effect of surface plasmon resonance on total diffraction grating efficiency, anomalous results for the total diffraction efficiency as a function of incident angle for several diffraction gratings has led to the need to acquire more data. A more efficient data acquisition system is needed to acquire the data for a series of diffraction gratings. The plan for the new LabView based data acquisition system and what has been accomplished so far will be discussed.
