Surface collecting remains an important component to site research in the Körös region. With the beginning of a new phase of investigation, the data collected from surface surveys will become more and more valuable in the task of site interpretation. This paper analyzes the surface collection data from Körösladány 14 and Okány 16, two Early Copper Age sites from the Great Hungarian Plain that have recently undergone surface surveys. A comparison of these datasets enables the identification of changes in the ceramics’ characteristics which may aid in elucidating a clearer understanding of the sites’ histories and cultural development as well.
