Preliminary data from the 2006 AAUP State of the University Survey suggests that the faculty morale level at Truman State University is low. The purpose of this study is to further investigate the level of faculty morale at Truman State University. A questionnaire composed of forty-four items was given to all faculty members. Items pertained to the subject's feelings regarding different aspects of his/her career at Truman State University. The questionnaire was rationally derived using previous surveys used for similar purposes at other universities. We hypothesize that faculty morale will be low, yielding similar results to the AAUP survey. The present findings of this study will be discussed along with the implications of the results.
