Doris A. Doyon♦
Dr. Michael Bump, Faculty Mentor

Rebonds B by Iannis Xenakis is structured by motivic development centered on the Golden Ratios calculated throughout the piece. Motives are developed through patterns of rhythms and timbre, and the permutations of these patterns. The performance and explanation of this work will highlight Xenakis’ use of the Golden Ratio in his compositional practices.
