How the Guitar has Impacted the Wind Ensemble Literature

 The guitar has found its way into numerous genres of music. If it has not been credited as an essential part of a particular medium, does not mean it has not made a contribution. Already, this instrument has made influences and contributions to the wind band literature in a few different ways. The guitar has impacted the wind ensemble repertoire by composers orchestrating based on guitar styles and techniques, directly quoting famous guitarists, and including the instrument itself in the instrumentation.
