This work uses interdisciplinary concepts to explore the creative boundaries of the meaning of ?orange.? I chose to step away from the notion of orange as a color and instead interpret it as a fruit. I wanted to ignore any preconceptions of an orange as an edible food and instead examine it in a completely new context. I examined the idea of granting character to the inanimate oranges. Because video was the assigned medium for the project, I thought it clever to intertwine this with the concept of popular film productions ? specifically, recognizable Hollywood classics. In this way I hoped the audience would not only rethink their original definitions of ?orange? but would also reevaluate their initial interpretations of the original Hollywood films.
