This essay will explore the meaning of success by both Indian and American cultural standards, as well as answer the question of whether or not Marin, Trisha, and Sonya successfully achieved success by these standards. It will also explore the character of the girls? mother Ranee and whether she also managed to be a success by one or both standards.
