Noise-Induced Hearing Loss: Awareness and Prevention

College students are one of the most at risk populations for noise-induced hearing loss. Noise-induced hearing loss is permanent and irreversible yet 100% preventable. Through a poster presentation, senior communication disorders students will provide information on the anatomy of the ear and how noise affects hearing. Using evidence-based practices, the presenters will identify situations detrimental to the auditory system, as well as provide tips about hearing conservation.
