Student and Faculty Perception of the Dean of Student Affairs Office's Performance

Truman State University’s (TSU) Dean of Student Affairs Office is responsible for the staffing, planning, leadership, and program coordination for many departments and service areas included in Student Affairs. Students and faculty are affected on a frequent basis by the activities and decisions of this office. However, there currently has been little to no assessment of student and faculty perceptions regarding how well the Dean of Student Affairs Office is serving them. The current study’s purpose is to remedy this problem by assessing the student and faculty perception of the performance of the TSU Dean of Student Affairs Office. By surveying a large, diverse sample of TSU students and faculty, this study will ascertain results that will benefit Truman State University by providing an important feedback on how students and faculty believe they are being served by the Dean of Student Affairs Office.
