Creative Photography: Churches
Elizabeth A. Williamson
Prof. Priya S. Kambli, Faculty Mentor
I once heard that you are defined by your actions when no one is watching. This got me thinking about places I choose to go. Where is my comfort zone? Churches are the place where I go when no one is watching. Whether the space is filled with people or a place for me to be alone, this is where I've found a community. For all those times when I needed a family, I found churches to be welcoming. Although it's just a space, it's a place I can go and be certain that I will always find comfort. My photographs show the details about churches that make the space my home. Though each church, and therefore each photograph, has its own unique identity, it's the consistencies that lie between each which gives me the comfort of knowing that church is where I will always find my safe haven.
